A compact physics book offers not only “technical terms and the explanations”, but opens its space for episodic contents as well, titled “The Life with Physics”, comprising roughly 200 pages. It is available as a paperback, and primarily on Google Play as a digital edition.
As the volume revolves around Mechanics and Thermodynamics, it suits the 11th standard. Moreover, this has been stated explicitly in the title as well.
Flipping through the pages, it is uncovered that the academic chapters, its terms, and elaborations progress along with a series of plotted events the novel advances with.
Heading towards the main characters and themes of the novel, it follows six adult friends who navigate their Hsc lives. They share a glowing friendship, a deep sense of togetherness, and are portrayed as pleasing characters.
Although the author has utilized its novel format by setting several dedicated narrative modules to further simplify some complex technical concepts, the academic content has been untouched and is fully embedded as the characters' study sessions.
Reading the literary work a little exclusively, it can be observed clearly that the purpose behind the inclusion is to make the study time free of a dry like environment, keep the readers hooked and make them feel alive.
Turning attention to the academic modules, it feels the author has tried hard to make the terms more approachable and kept the scientific language simple.
As every other title of the discipline is bigger in size and comes straight with the scientific terms and descriptions. It sounds interesting that with the small size, the title has literary work, an extra addition, along with the curriculum.
Actually, The Life with Physics, is a little short of solved examples, Exercises Questions and two chapters, namely Waves and Oscillations.
However, the prominent figurative point is that the compact size and artistry make it easy to use and optimize on, whether to set a stage for learning, or looking for some quik alternate contents seeking better understanding for the given term, one is already engaging with, or learning from any other resource.
To conclude fairly, it has an edge especially for reading and understanding concepts.
Getting to know its author, Ankit Kumar, who has the quiet feeling of being graduated from one of the most modern historical universities of India, University of Calcutta, and appears pleased with the time memories.
Talking about his early college days, he recalls he was enjoying and deeply involved in a whirlwind of exploration. He spent a large part of the first year time frequenting cafes, walking the city’s old streets, socializing with a few commerce friends, different to his stream, Science.
For the college part, he remembers he always tried to attend a maximum number of lectures, practical sessions, interacting with the faculties and peers.
However, didn’t realize the first year examination was coming close, that time the institution ecosystem was yearwise, and hadn’t been able to alter his focus to the very needy that was self study.
And at the last, even, appearing in the year’s papers was making him feel very uncomfortable, although he was able to take care of it later, and eventually graduated with very healthy marks.
The author strongly weighs his college time as a maturing and a very independent experience.
Post Graduation, he was keen to spend time in diversified student communities, and was also looking for supervised practical projects. So, started his Master’s program in the University of East Anglia (England) in the autumn of 2023.
However, shortly, he left when he felt a sense of indignity as the cost of the master's program after a conversation crack with his family over funding the course's financial expenses.
Moreover, he found another reason to leave the program: embarking and finishing this publishing.
He is looking to reach out to the educational authorities and connect with the learners directly in person for its better discoverability. The author is planning to present it as an upgraded engagement resource and endorse it for a better learning experience.
